Chivas Venture is now in its second year in Malaysia. Since Day Zero, Commas has proven indispensable to the task of introducing Chivas Venture to the developing, still-delicate entrepreneurial community in Malaysia. Each year we seek out Malaysian social enterprises and start-ups for participations, via direct marketing compelling media coverage, digital activations, and launch efforts in line with global objectives and local insights.
We have evolved and improved the platform year on year. In the first year, we received over doubled the number of expected applicants. Our decision to partner with BFM 89.9 and The Edge – leading business media groups and titles in Malaysia – to add credibility and scale to an alcohol-backed competition in a moderate Malaysia, was lauded as a Best Practice globally, in over 30 participating countries including China, the UK, and the USA.
Through strategic media stories to drive public voting, in the first year 2016/2017, our Malaysian global finalist FOLO Farms received USD10,771.62 in the Chivas Venture Global Voting Stage.
